I walk through rooms that once felt warm,
But now the silence follows me.
The walls remember every laugh,
While I remember what used to be.
The people I once called my own
Have slowly become distant.
I smile when someone asks me,
“How are you?” and say, “I’m fine.”
But deep inside, my heart is tired,
Searching for a light.
I miss the conversations,
The voices calling out my name,
The moments filled with joy,
The days when life felt less like rain.
Sometimes I sit beside my window,
Watching strangers pass below.
They have places they are going,
While I have nowhere I must go.
But loneliness has taught me something:
Even empty roads can end.
A heart may break from being lonely,
Yet it can still learn to mend.
So I will leave this lonely life,
Not by running from the pain,
But by opening my heart again,
And welcoming the light like rain.
Tomorrow may not change the past,
But it can bring a different view.
And maybe, somewhere down the road,
I will find people who stay true.
Until that day, I’ll keep walking,
With hope inside my heart.
For even after lonely seasons,
A brighter chapter can still start.
