ESSENCE: The Master's Bride
poem

ESSENCE: The Master's Bride

The walls painted white.

Lit with the most brightest light.

Across the hall holds a bright diamond chandelier.

And a sweet scent lingering in the air.

The windows, clear as future see through.

Doors thick and strong with no termite room.

Firm and unmovable the furniture stays true,

As the floor upholds it shadows with no trace of broom.

Behold, covered with clean sheets, white as snow.

Tamed and nurtured, the alter show.

With a beauty beyond compare.

Asked by many, already spoken for.

Swiftly, visitors arrives.

Declaring her unique beauty and grace.

Their gesture holds no gratitude.

Is she sad? The world cares not.

In shock, with lost words the keepers nods.

Her state rots the sight of man.

A keeper finding few words from none.

Master beholds not her sight.

Patience whispers among the keepers.

Speaking no tidings but united agreement.

New stuff is sent for,

And new plans are set.

Behold, their eyes sees their back

And doom graces their midst.

Sixteen fellows encloses her threshold.

Disaster sweeps her off her feet.

The keepers lie weak on the ground.

Her lips, the color of red adorned.

Tears of blood for death’s her betroth.

Is she sad? The world cares not.

Her master visit,

His eyes could not resist,

The paintings already on a frame.

He grieves, walking the hall of shame.

Five thousand years abandon sentence.

Loneliness becomes her identity.

She drifts deeply into the forgotten.

Her once exquisite and enticing charm fades away.

For the first time in what seams,

She cries.

Asking her message reaches the realms,

To prove her worth at her mater’s feet.

Two thousand years passes no retort.

Eyes closes as past light flashes.

The reign of carnality seduced her lust.

All the flesh is vanity, she concludes.

Recognizing her wrong, accepting her fate.

Her eyes beholds a glorious light.

He opens the door to a gracious path.

For he got her message early enough to arrive late.

He holds her high kissing her tears.

Walking out of her identity in her masters arms.

A crown on her head and her light restored.

Is she happy? The world cares not.

Royalty is now her identity.

Her keepers acting out their first assignment

Glamor, beauty and riches is her reality.

But not for all men but her master’s only.

I'm educator, storyteller, and lover of words. Not your boring, uptight kind, but one who believes that sometimes, the right words can touch a heart in ways ordinary conversations cannot. Writing is my happy place. A hobby that allows me to turn thoughts, feelings, dreams, and everyday moments into stories and poetry. When I'm not teaching or writing, I enjoy good music, movies, novels, and discovering new things. My love for storytelling continues to inspire me to create pieces that readers can laugh with, think about, and sometimes see a little bit of themselves in. To you reading this: Never underestimate the power of your own story. Keep dreaming, keep creating, and keep becoming. Your words may be exactly what someone else needs to hear. ❀️
