MY ARTIST 2

MY ARTIST 2

The last time I tried to explain it,

it was like just boarding a ship.

But being on it feels

different in a way—

the gentle storms

and the raging wind.

Yet the voyage is smooth.

But am I missing the docks?

I asked myself once.

And I answered,

“Let me feel the ocean breeze.”

And when I see it,

I put it all behind me.

All I see

is an open ocean,

and I am happy to sail

with my fellow artists

to the end of this line.

Because perhaps

the journey was never

about knowing where we'd arrive.

Perhaps it was about

the waves we crossed,

the storms we survived,

the stories we created,

and the people

who sailed beside us.

So I will stay on this ship,

feel the wind against my face,

and let the ocean carry us forward.

For now,

the horizon is enough.

And with my fellow artists,

I am ready

to sail into tomorrow,

where every wave becomes a memory,

and every journey becomes a story.

There may be days when the waters rise,

and moments when the sky turns gray,

but I will remember I came.

I came to create,

to learn,

to grow,

and to share art

with others.
