The Standards You Must Maintain As A Winnner

Things You Must Do As A Winner

1. Reconstruct Your Understanding of God. What are your perceptions and beliefs regarding God? Do you view Him as a strict ruler or a caring parent? By examining Luke 15, you will find a description of the father who was significant to Jesus. The complete submission and admiration Jesus exhibited towards His father reflects a “God-image” built on trust. Delve deeper than mere hearsay or personal assumptions about Him. Study the gospels, as the essence, love, and compassion of the Father manifest through the behaviors and mindsets of Jesus Christ. Jesus took the initiative to engage with an immoral woman, children, and even a tax collector perched in a tree. People were important to Jesus. Dedicate time to nurturing a correct understanding of God. Revise the mental image that reinforces your faith in Him. By reading various texts, listening to audio recordings, and expressing your love to others, you will enhance and rectify your perception of God.

2. Acknowledge the Constraints of Satan. It is crucial to comprehend the harmful effects of demonic presence. Yet, through the Scripture, you will grasp the boundaries of their interference. Satan is a deceiver, a liar, and a manipulator. It is worth mentioning that he is ultimately a failure. He was once part of Heaven but has been “dismissed.” His fate is total destruction. He exists under the control of the believer, who shares in the inheritance with Christ, Who has “placed all things beneath His authority,” (Ephesians 1:22). Satan and the demonic entities exist below us. “We are more than conquerors,” (Romans 8:37). Always remember that you are the champion! In moments of despair, recognize that you remain “above the devil.”

3. Comprehend the Needs of Others. Two groups of individuals who caught the attention of Christ were: first, those who were beneficiaries of His ministry and deeds. Notable examples are Zacchaeus in Luke 19:2 and the Samaritan woman in John 4:9. Secondly, those who provided service to Him. This is illustrated by Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38. Jesus’ interactions with the Pharisees showed they held disdain, irritation, and a complete lack of genuine respect for Him. They failed to serve Him or to accept ministry from Him. Jesus perceives people as needs He is capable of fulfilling. When they accepted His help, miracles ensued. Conversely, if rebellion arose, He distanced Himself from them. He understood when to refuse engagement if needed. Foster the ability to discern the people surrounding you. If you positively influence them, it will become evident. Conversely, if you’re not uplifting them, there’s a strong possibility they are dragging you down. “He who walks with the wise will be wise: but a companion of fools will be destroyed,” (Proverbs 13:20). Jesus was unable to spend time with everyone. He never allowed “Zacchaeus to be mistreated” by the Pharisees. Develop the skill to hear God regarding the role individuals play in your life.

4. Create a Positive Self-Image. Our upbringing, education, and friendships shape us. We often develop a consciousness of failure. At times, we focus more on problems than on potential. We

Focus on our shortcomings can lead to diminished self-confidence and loss of self-worth.

Shift your attention towards your strengths. Sometimes what you perceive as a flaw may actually be a divinely placed talent.

Allow me to share an example. I have always had a passion for conversation. My father, however, is a man of few words. I admired that quality and aimed, albeit unsuccessfully, to train myself to be more reserved! I memorized passages about excessive talking. I held back my thoughts during discussions. I admired and sought to mimic my more introverted, quiet friends, but it was futile. I needed to express my thoughts; through the gentle care of my parents, I came to understand that God had endowed me with a gift for communication and clarity. I learned to study and refine my words to ensure they were encouraging and uplifting—a positive trait. Since that realization, I have simply asked the Lord for the right words to bless those in my vicinity!

Cease discussing your deficiencies. Appreciate the talents that God has bestowed upon you!

Consider the words of a preacher who penned half of the New Testament:

“I can achieve anything through Christ,” (Philippians 4:13).

“On the contrary, in all these circumstances, we are more than victors,” (Romans 8:37).

Paul held a correct understanding of God.

Paul had a truthful view of Satan.

Paul possessed an accurate perspective on humanity.

Paul maintained a realistic self-image.

The Apostle Paul: God’s definition of a true victor. And Paul thrived even amidst a challenging world.
