THAT NOSTALGIC FEELINGS VISITED AGAIN.
That nostalgic feeling visited again,
not entirely sad,
not entirely happy.
Just somewhere in between,
where emotions become difficult to name.
The urge to stay quiet,
to sink into overthinking,
to simplyβ¦
stare.
Stare at the moving clouds,
watching them drift
like thoughts with no destination.
Noticing the little things
that once felt invisible,
the details we used to walk past
without a second glance.
Like the way the evening sky
slowly changes its colour,
or how the wind moves through the trees
without asking permission.
The kind of things
you only notice
when your mind finally becomes quiet.
Reasoning what most people
never stop to reason,
like how itβs lightning that strikes,
yet weβre so quick
to blame the thunder.
Maybe that is how life works too.
We notice the noise,
the aftermath,
the things loud enough
to demand our attention,
while forgetting to ask
what caused them in the first place.
And most of all,
playing the role of
your future self in your mind,
rehearsing a life
that finally breathes.
Imagining mornings
that don't feel heavy,
days that don't need surviving,
and a version of yourself
that no longer wonders
when things will get better.
Predicting a happy ending
for a story
that began in sadness,
because perhaps hope
is simply believing
the ending can be different.
