One of the things that consecration does is that it mortifies your flesh and glorifies your spirit m, and as your spirit is glorified your soul is amplified to operate like the very antennas that consciously draws the signals of God's mandate, in other words, It brings you to the point of growing your soul until it is fully acclimatize with everything that buttresses the standard and the image of God.
A leader and mentor of mine once told us a story of how he found himself at an ATM location, at the very earliest hours in the morning. Although he was coming back from an all-night meeting, he said while he joined the queue, there was this guy and this lady standing side by side next to each other. According to my leader, he said the lady standing beside this guy was dressed very indecently and so loosely. He said he didn't for once imagine what was going on between those two, until they left and the people around started whispering that the lady in question is a hookup girl, and the guy came to withdraw money in order to pay her off. He said immediately those whispers entered his heart and he began to connect the dots, he felt like vomiting.
Now, don't get me wrong, this is not to judge or condemn anyone. But here is the lesson from the story: there is a level at which you can journey with God, and iniquity will become disgusting in your sight. There's a level at which you can grow and attain with God, and sin will no longer be an option. You can grow to a point where you can carry much of God's ambiance, and if eventually you fall into sin, the only remedy is death 😁.
Adam and Eve didn't die physically, but they died spiritually. Moses didn't die spiritually, but he died physically. The reason why God will have to work on your heart before He releases some certain measures of grace or mantle is because He wouldn't want to withdraw His presence from you at the end when you continue to fall short of his Glory. And yes, we know that we are now living in an era where His grace and mercy are made available, but for your own good, it will be best you walk genuinely in the path of righteousness, because this is what Hebrews 6:4-6 says:
"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to be renewed again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame."
May the Lord help us all, even as we embrace the process and stick to the pruning. May we not be to carried away by the feign display of life and then lose the fire on the account of our ignorance.
