It is said that one cannot recognize when they are experiencing love; it is something you simply feel. Truly, love is an exceptionally potent emotion. It represents a unique connection between two individuals who are drawn to each other not only on a physical level but also on emotional, mental, and spiritual plains. Many people subscribe to the idea of soul mates, believing that each person has one destined partner in the world. Others hold on to the signs and omens that indicate compatibility, referring to it as fate, while some are assured of their feelings and actively seek to build a romantic relationship. Regardless of the perspective we hold about love, I believe that we all aspire to discover that one genuine love that is meant for us, as love is, much like friendship, a valuable gift to cherish.
Despite the joy that love can bring, its ability to enhance our lives, and the strength it provides us daily, there are individuals who resist the notion of love or have resigned themselves to never finding it. This resistance doesn't stem from disbelief in love's reality, but rather from personal beliefs that they might be incapable of discovering true love. Such negative thoughts can arise, like: I am not attractive. No one will care for me; I wear braces. No one will want to kiss me; I lack wealth. No one will agree to date me. How unfortunate those who feel this way may be. If you identify with these sentiments, I want to emphasize now that if you genuinely desire to encounter real love, you must alter your mindset.
Remember that authentic love extends beyond valuing someone's external characteristics; it involves embracing their inner self as well. For the sake of convenience, we can use a male example. Loving him means accepting all aspects of him—not solely his strengths, but also his vulnerabilities; not merely his admirable traits, but his imperfections; and not just his successes, but his failures. Consequently, if a person you care for makes you feel less than worthy, it is crucial to put a stop to that. He does not deserve your affection in any form. Because if he reciprocates your feelings, regardless of your appearance, behavior, or convictions, he will cherish you for who you genuinely are. This is the essence of true love—acceptance and comprehension. No one has the authority to make you feel inferior, including you or the person you cherish.
The simplest and most effective way to encourage someone to love you sincerely is to first nurture love for yourself before extending it to others. Identify your true self. Gain a deeper understanding of who you are. Embrace your imperfections and insecurities. Once you feel self-assured, it will not take long to find someone who recognizes you and views you in a positive light.
Many individuals are drawn to another person who can express their authentic self with various companions at any given time.
Once you have taken the step to be genuine, you can establish possible criteria for the individual you wish to connect with—someone you desire to share most of your life with. Considering the many individuals you encounter daily, approach them individually. Allocate some time to engage with each one. Over time, you may discover that one of these individuals embodies the traits that appeal to you. Develop a friendship with him or her.
Affection that begins as a friendship tends to be more robust than any instant romantic connection. Additionally, love requires time, perseverance, and the proper mindset to flourish, particularly when encountering some unsuitable individuals or finding the right ones at an inconvenient moment. Ultimately, the value of genuine love outweighs the struggles and sorrow it may bring. You know the words to express: "I can discover true love. Hence, I will."
