HIS PERFECT WIFE 11
story

HIS PERFECT WIFE 11

‎I got into the famous company.

‎‎It was a very nice place. A very nice organization. ‎From the moment I arrived, I could tell that the company was different from the places I had known before. It was a well renowned company, and everything about it had the appearance of a serious corporate organization.

‎‎The company dealt with automobiles, and because of its reputation, getting an internship placement there felt like a big opportunity for me.

‎‎I was excited.

‎‎And the fact that I had my friend Rachel with me made everything even easier.

‎‎Having someone I already knew around me helped me settle into the new environment. We could move around together, talk about what we experienced during the day, and encourage each other whenever things became stressful.

‎‎The working environment was good. ‎The organization was good. ‎The people were good. ‎Not extremely good, of course. ‎Let me not exaggerate.

‎‎They behaved like normal people in an average corporate organization. Everyone had their responsibilities, everyone had their own problems, and everyone was trying to get through the day and do their jobs.

‎There were friendly people. ‎There were serious people. ‎There were people who hardly spoke to anyone.

‎‎There were also people who were always ready to help when they could. ‎Overall, the environment was comfortable enough for me.

‎‎But, as expected, there was one thing that seemed to be common in almost every workplace.

‎‎The bosses.

‎‎They were always mounting pressure on the employees. ‎There was always something to do, something to submit, something to correct, or somewhere you were expected to be. The pressure could be intense sometimes, especially when deadlines were approaching.

‎‎Still, I didn't complain. ‎I was an intern.

‎‎I was grateful to have the opportunity to learn and gain experience in such a well known automobile company. I knew that whatever I experienced there could become useful to me in the future.

‎‎So, I settled in.

‎‎Every morning, I went to work with Rachel. We learned the routines of the organization and gradually became familiar with the people and how everything worked.

‎‎For me, it was a completely new experience.

‎I had spent most of my life struggling to survive, helping Mama with whatever work I could find, hustling to support myself through university, and worrying about money.

‎‎Now, I was sitting inside a renowned company, surrounded by professionals, learning how a proper corporate organization operated.

‎‎It felt good.

‎‎For once, I felt like I was getting closer to the future I had always imagined.

‎‎I didn't know exactly where life was taking me.

‎‎I didn't know what would happen after the internship.

‎‎And I certainly didn't know that this particular workplace would become important in a way I could never have imagined.

‎‎For now, though, I was simply grateful. ‎I had gotten the internship.

‎‎Rachel was with me.

‎‎Mama was still severely sick.

‎‎Daniel was still there for me.

‎And university was still going on.

‎‎Life wasn't perfect, but somehow, I was moving forward.
