I'M A BACHELOR
stories/poem

I'M A BACHELOR

I'm a single, proud and free,

Staking the path that is right for my own.

However, many might ask,

I believe in time, not hasty destiny.

The mornings come like dreams to me,

It's a quiet night with themes throughout the night.

I build my future, day by day,

On a journey with hope leading the way.

I've learned that love is not a race,

Nor by pursuit hasty and frantic.

It blooms softly, quietly and sincerely,

When the heart is ready to turn over a new leaf.

I take pleasure in every opportunity at this time

To develop in the face of adversity.

I build faith, strive for my goal,

And store up knowledge in my heart.

There is no man without a companion;

He is a valiant man of his own valor.

He cherishes kindness, truth and grace,

Is able to maintain a steady rate through each trial.

One day, perhaps, love's door will wide,

And a faithful one will walk with him.

Up to that time, I will be till.

Content in the sunshine and in the rain.

I have dreams in my heart to share with you;

More precious far than fleeting gold.

I rise and accept every day,

May Light shine on me, and Guide my steps.

If you ask me who I'll be,

I will smile with meek modesty.

A young man today, but with a smile,

Assured that I'm on the verge of death.
