Technology has facilitated many more people to have an easier, faster, more interesting and more accessible education.
Making information easily available is one of the most important functions of technology in education. Students have the ability to go online and research information on nearly any subject. Students have access to learning resources other than their textbooks on the internet, through educational websites, electronic books, and videos. This will motivate students to do research and make students independent learners. Students can use other sources of information or be given additional information to expand their knowledge beyond that of their teachers alone.
Technology also allows for enhanced engagement in teaching and learning. Teachers can use any pictures, videos, animation, presentation or educational games to explain difficult topics. Using a video to show a scientific experiment, or an animation to explain how the human body works are examples of how this could be done.
