MY BESTIE
A hibiscus flower
That always stands between the thorn tree and me
On a tight thorny path,
Blocking its thorns from hurting me,
Taking the wounds in my place with joy.
Always looking forward
To the day I will be favored,
Flushing fear from my system,
Digging out the hidden treasures in me.
A bird that sits on an evergreen oak,
Singing sweetly,
Cuddling me to sleep and slip away from my foes.
A cub that comes out to give its life in place of me
While in the midst of wild hungry and angry beast ready to devour me.
A butterfly that keeps me company,
Perching on beautiful pink flowers
While I sit on a tree trunk,
Giving me a reason to smile through my worries.
The wind that dries
Tears of sweetest worries from my bordered face,
And makes the leaves dance joyfully to its beat.
Oh, dearest mentor and companion,
The one who strengthens my weaknesses.
Wow, lwhat a saint you are to me.
Caring more than I ever imagined,
Loving more than I ever dreamed.
Lol, how indebted I am to you, beloved protectress.
May that which helps us never grow weak or weary.
