Modern African Fabric

Modern African Fabric

African fabric wakes beneath the light,

Turning old traditions into modern sight.

Ankara carries colours bold and bright,

Walking confidently into city life.

Adire flows in shades of deep blue,

With every pattern telling something true.

Aso Oke shines with woven pride,

Now styled with modern cuts and graceful lines.

Kente no longer stays within the past,

Its golden threads are moving fast.

From flowing dresses to tailored suits,

It finds new shapes, new forms, new roots.

Designers take the fabrics we have known,

And build fresh worlds of their own.

They mix old patterns with modern grace,

Creating fashion that belongs in every place.

A jacket speaks with African flair,

A skirt moves softly through the air.

A simple shirt, a stylish gown,

Can carry culture through the town.

The fabric does not lose its soul,

Though modern hands reshape the whole.

It bends with time but still remains

Connected to ancestral names.

On city streets and fashion shows,

African creativity proudly grows.

From Lagos lights to Accra nights,

New African fashion catches sights.

Young hands cut, sew, design, and dream,

Turning every fabric into something supreme.

They prove that culture can evolve,

Without forgetting the stories it holds.

Modern African fabric is more than style,

It carries history across every mile.

It is yesterday meeting today,

A colourful bridge along the way.

So let every pattern proudly appear,

Let every woven story remain clear.

For when Africa wears what her hands create,

Her past and future beautifully celebrate.
