SHE
She carried a flower,
Little did she know that she was carrying a piece of herself.
Delicate.
Beautiful.
Almost weightless
yet carrying the evidence of everything
she had survived.
The flower behind her was enormous,
almost too beautiful to be real.
And she walked beneath it
as though she had finally understood
that some things are not meant to be held in the hands;
some things are meant to become a part of you.
There were petals scattered at her feet.
Pieces that had fallen away along the journey.
Things she once thought she needed.
Versions of herself she had outgrown.
Dreams that changed shape.
People who could not walk with her anymore.
Seasons that ended without asking permission.
You will lose petals.
You will lose pieces.
You will sometimes look at the ground
and wonder how something so beautiful,
could have left so much of itself behind.
But look at her.
She did not stop to gather every fallen petal.
She kept moving.
She is carrying beauty
that is larger than her present season.
She is walking with something
that once looked impossible.
You were never created
to spend your whole life mourning
the petals that fell.
Some petals had to fall
so the flower could keep growing.
So walk.
You are still becoming.
And there is still a flower
waiting to bloom through you.
