One of the most valuable gifts that God gave to man is salvation. It is forgiveness of sins, reconciliation to God and the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Salvation is not something that can be bought with money, material possessions, good connections, or human achievements. It is a gift by faith in Jesus Christ and not for sale or barter for worldly things.
Many people around the world have the idea that there's always a price to everything. They believe that they have the power to get anything they want if they have enough money. But salvation is not like that. Money can't buy forgiveness of sin and it cannot guarantee eternal life. The Bible says that we are saved by grace through faith. It is not won through work or hard work or money. This is a reminder that nothing can be more valuable to us than our relationship with God than money.
The phrase, "Your salvation is not for sale", also reminds us that we must not replace the pleasures of this world with our faith. An attractive lifestyle of wealth, fame, popularity, possessions and success is fleeting. If a person has all the material things in this world but doesn't have God's relationship with him, then the world can't save him. So we ought to never trade our trust and loyalty in God for quick fixes.
Jesus Christ gave His life for our salvation. This does not mean that we should try to repay Him with money. But we should be grateful, in faith, obey God, love God, and live out the Christian values as a result of God's grace. The wonderful part of salvation is that it's free, meaning it is God's love and His will to restore humanity to Himself.
We should also be careful of people who try to manipulate others by putting a price on spiritual blessings. Offerings, gifts, and providing for the work of God are acts of worship, but one can never buy salvation. One should not be deceived into thinking that the payment of money can ensure God's forgiveness and eternal life.
If God will not sell it then we are to appreciate it highly. I should not assume that God would be giving freely to me if I lived in ways that go against my faith. Rather, we should pursue spiritual growth by prayer, reading the Word of God, loving one another and following God's Word.
To sum up, salvation is more precious than gold, money, fame or possessions. It is a thanks-giving gift, which comes only as a gift of God, through faith in Jesus Christ. It can't be purchased or sold by any human being, nor can it be valued. Hence, we need to protect our faith, value God's favor, and live responsibly as a man of understanding of the worth of salvation. Our possessions may come and go, but the gift of salvation is priceless. You cannot buy your salvation.
