THE UNWRITTEN CHAPTER
There is a chapter within me
whose pages remain untouched,
waiting patiently beneath the weight
of all I have endured.
I have walked through seasons
where uncertainty became my companion,
where every dawn arrived
with questions I could not answer,
and every night left me
alone with my contemplation.
Yet, I remain.
Perhaps resilience is not the absence of weakness,
but the courage to rise
whenever life persuades us to remain fallen.
Perhaps hope is not a blazing fire,
but a fragile ember
that refuses to surrender to the darkness.
I have known the melancholy
of watching dreams drift beyond my reach.
I have tasted the bitterness of disappointment
and listened to the silence
that follows an unanswered prayer.
Still, somewhere beneath the ruins of doubt,
a voice whispers:
You are not finished.
My story has not ended
because one chapter was difficult.
The ink has not dried.
The pen has not been surrendered.
And the future remains a blank horizon,
waiting for the courage of my hand.
So I will write.
I will write through the bewilderment,
through the failures that attempt to define me,
through the moments when my confidence trembles
beneath the weight of expectation.
I will write until the scars of yesterday
become footnotes in the story of tomorrow.
For I am neither my failures
nor the fears that once imprisoned my dreams.
I am a work still unfolding,
a soul still becoming,
a sentence without a final punctuation mark.
And perhaps,
when the final page is eventually written,
I will look back and understandβ
The chapters I once feared
were the very chapters
that taught me how to become
the author of my own destiny.
Until then,
the page remains open.
And I am still writing.
