Life is a journey, not a race. All people have a different journey, a different start, different problems and different ends. However, there are numerous individuals who spend their entire lives comparing themselves to others so that they must succeed in life at the same time as others. We may observe someone else's success and believe that, somehow, we are not as blessed.We see other people's success and we ask ourselves why our lives aren't progressing as they are. The reality, however, is that life isn't on a timescale for everybody.
There are lots of experiences that make up a journey. It's a time of joy and time of tears, of achievement and of difficulty. Each experience leaves us a part of ourselves. Challenges can help us to discover patience, bravery, and resilience. Sometimes failures teach us what is needed to change; sometimes disappointments are training for better opportunities. Things can be significant aspects of our life even if we don't know why they occur.
It is important to recognise our own improvement rather than compare ourselves to others all the time. Some people may achieve some sort of goal or a dream before us, they may graduate before us, they may find a job before us, they may build a business before us. It's not to say we've failed, though. Individuals develop at varied rates and encounter various situations. The important thing is that we are making progress in whatever direction we go.
Sometimes, it is not all that obvious that things are improving. Important changes can occur without noise like a seed in the soil. You might be learning, building your skills, getting experience or getting stronger, but you just may not realize how far you have progressed. Don't let temporary obstacles fool you into believing that your journey is over! Even a slow trip is a trip.
Enjoyment of life should be experienced throughout the journey. When we are too preoccupied with goal setting, we could overlook what we learn, experiences we have, and people we meet and remember along the way. It's the person who can do it who's important, not the person who's going to succeed. There is a lesson to be learned at each stage of life.
You will need to rest at times. Resting is not a form of giving up! In some cases, it helps to take a break to find the courage and insight to move forward. When you get wrongs up your own ass, learn. If you fall down, get up! Be flexible with your plans to explore new opportunities. Life doesn't always go as a straight line, but sometimes beautiful places are right around the corner.
Don't compare yourself to others' schedules. Your journey is yours. It's okay if you are not at where you want to be today, but you will not stay there forever. Always do and always learn, always believe and always take a step.
Remembering that the first to arrive at the end of life is not the winner! It is not about what was accomplished, but rather how, what, who, and how.
Life is not a race,Take time to walk at your own speed, trust your process, embrace each season and keep moving forward. Your story is one of a kind, and you may still have some great chapters ahead to write.
