Writers 
There is a scripture that I used to skip by, about God giving His children exceeding, abundantly, above all that we could ask or think of, until the day I desperately saw it come true for me.
I had asked for a job. He had given me a calling.
I had asked for healing in one place. He healed an entire emotional landscape.
I had asked to get through the semester. He gave me a testimony to share.
We don't serve a God who counts every blessing we receive to the last kobo. We serve a God who hears the prayers of our small faiths and thinks to answer them with immeasurable goodness. I think of Peter sinking, and Jesus not merely rescuing him, but walking him back across the very water that had nearly drowned him. I think of five loaves and the fact that they were enough for five thousand men, with basketsful to spare--because heaven can't stand to just barely meet the need. God, I ask for little and receive much.
So forgive me, Father, for asking little things of You. Forgive me for living on a diet of little miracles, when you have promised exceeding abundance. Teach me to expect much from You, to be audacious in my prayers, reckless in my faith, no longer willing to shrink you down to a sizeageable portion.
There is more to my life than crosses this horizon, more than I even imagine, and I'm sick of making my plans within the limitations of what I see. Take me to where I've never been, Lord. Show me new things. Carry me way beyond the borders of my doubt and fear. Exceedingly and abundantly and most definitely beyond, Father.
