So rare, not because I am perfect,
But known as I know my value,
I have dreams in my heart—
And stories that can't be told.
I am like the precious stone
Formed under stress, time and suffering,
Each scar I've got has made me stronger,
Each defeat has been a learning opportunity.
I don't have to go along with the mob,
Or be what others want to see or pretend to be,
On my way I walk with assurance,
Because I know that I am called to be.
I’m unusual, I love so much,
Rare in how I am cared for,Rare in how I love,
Not all I have may be,
I have a heart that dares, though.
If life is tough and hard,
I get on my feet, I get up again,
Yet with greater courage I rise,
But I am not going to lose everything!
I don't need to be compared to anyone else,
It's not my journey,
I rejoice in their successes,
As I'm building up my strength.
I'm unusual because I continue to believe,
Even if the way is not clear,Even if the road is not clear,
I know that brighter days are near,
I will not be afraid to live in fear.
So let me walk in my own light,
Let me be all that I can be,
For there is only one of me
That's why I am "the rarest of my kind.
